Dawn Dalton

Pastor Dawn Dalton was raised as the middle child with four other siblings in Renton, WA. From the outside looking in, it would have been easy for others to think that she lived the life of a secure, upper middle-class family. The family home was fairly large with the property large enough to include a private tennis court. However, the reality of her younger years also included a father that traveled extensively as part of his profession. Her father and mother divorced when she was 10 years old and left with the choices that teenagers are faced with, she married and started a family early in life. She had 2 boys and set about the duties of a mother when in 1982 she gave her life to Jesus and was baptized in the Holy Spirit. She had been raised in a home hearing about Jesus but only made him Lord of her life in 1982. Suddenly the void in her life was filled with Jesus and a true purpose in life.

In 1984, Dawn’s marriage failed and she found herself raising her two sons as a single mother. She had planted herself in a loving church, begun to work full-time and somehow never missed the multiple weekly church meeting all the while raising her boys. Dawn never dated for all the years she raised her sons choosing to immerse herself in the ministries chosen for her by the Holy Spirit.

Then, another chapter in Dawn’s life opened up. Dawn married Pastor Steve Dalton in October, 2001. They had been friends in the church since 1984 but in the months leading up to their marriage it became obvious to both of them that they were meant to be married. Dawn proceeded to follow God’s leading to minister to women in various King County jails with weekly Bible studies. She also ministered beside her husband in Bible based residential rehab facilities to those snared in addictions and to their extended families. In 2002 Dawn and her husband planted a church in Pierce County that grew into a church primarily comprised of recovering addicts, their extended families and other Christians who were called to reach out to the “broken”.

In 2003, Dawn was licensed and ordained and continued to follow her heart in ministering to children, young mothers, women and married couples in the church that she and her husband were privileged to Pastor. The season finally came for another chapter in Dawn’s life when the Lord allowed her and her husband to move on from their church and to relocate to Kent, WA. It was during this time that Pastors Dawn and Steve were led to visit Faith and Victory Church in Auburn, WA. During the first meeting they attended in June, 2013, the Dalton’s knew that the Lord intended to plant them there to be available to Pastors Matt & Crystal as “…. Servants of the Lord”. In the two years since then, Pastor Dawn has quietly demonstrated her willingness and giftings to serve in the fields of our Lord Jesus Christ
