GOT WISDOM? I pray a lot for the purity of the Body of Christ since He is returning for a pure and chaste Bride; clean from the ways of the world, faithful and pure to Him. There is a lack of wisdom in today’s church. There is a lack of instruction in God’s ways and a lack of understanding of who He is, what He does and why He does it. There’s a lack of knowledge of His Word and lack of discretion. There’s a lack of justice, judgment and equity in the Body. Why? Because there is a lack of fear of the LORD. We are told that “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” When there is a lack of fear of the LORD, “every man does what is right in his own eyes”. What is the fear of the LORD? It is reverent AWE of God’s power, majesty and holiness which produces a holy fear of transgressing His revealed will. It is the knowledge that He is right and TRUE and He means what He says, and says what He means. It is a revelation that He is GOD and you are not. The fear of the LORD spurs you to obey Him, trust Him, and love Him with your whole heart. ” O how GREAT is Your goodness which You have laid up for them that FEAR YOU! ” You cannot do this life alone, you were never created to. You were created to be in complete fellowship with your Maker. Surrender to Him today. Bow the knee to Jesus. Seek for His ways. Will you get WISDOM? Or be counted as a fool?
The prayer of the righteous has GREAT POWER! James 5:16 “Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” Here are a few things that the prayer of the righteous woman can accomplish: Draw you near to God. Open the way to a Spirit-filled life. Bring you power for ministry and Christian devotion. Builds you up spiritually. Give insight into Christ’s provision for you. Help you overcome Satan. Clarify the will of God. Enable you to receive spiritual gifts. Bring you into fellowship with God. Bring you grace, mercy and peace. Bring the lost to Christ. Bring you the wisdom, revelation and knowledge of Christ. Bring you healing. Bring you deliverance from trouble. Glorify God with praise and thanksgiving. Makes the presence of Christ real to you. Ensure you of your final salvation and of Christ’s intercession for you. Get the picture?
According to God’s sovereign wisdom, He has a season and time for all His purposes and for the fulfillment of His promises. We see this in the realm of nature, and in His kingdom, where there are appointed times and seasons of change that are crucially important in His ongoing redemptive purpose. Scripture reveals time and time again how God’s people are often blind to what He is doing or about to do. Israel as a whole was blind and ignorant when God sent Jesus. Likewise, the church doesn’t always know or discern when God is bringing to fulfillment some aspect of His purpose. The men of Issachar are given special mention because they understood the times and discerned what God was doing in bringing David to the throne. 1 Chronicles 12:32 “And of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do, 200 chiefs; and all their kinsmen were under their command” the word “understanding” means “to know” and indicates personal, experiential knowledge. It implies a deep awareness, a discernment or a competence. Do you stay close to Him in order to discern His will and purpose? Discernment is necessary in order to cooperate with God! We cannot be spiritually asleep during this time!
