At Faith and Victory Church our Victory Kids are ages newborn to 5th grade. Our Children’s Ministry Leader, Pastor Amber Webster, provides a bible centered, fun filled curriculum for each age range. Both our safety team and our children’s ministry workers have been trained in CPR if any emergency should arise. For babies and toddlers you will be assigned a pager as so you can be paged if your help is needed. Victory Kids is available during our church services (Sunday 9&11 AM and Wednesday 7 PM). All small groups and event nights will indicate if childcare is provided.
Classes
Nursery – (Birth to 3) –Nothing serves as so precious a reminder of God’s blessing to us as the birth of a child. Every newborn baby should have the joy and privilege of being brought into a truly Christian home. We strive to provide all the help possible to parents as they seek to serve the Lord.
Pre-K / Kindergarten – (Ages 3 to K) – This class is where the beginning of the true bible fundamentals are laid down. This class uses a variety of stories, music and visual aides to gain and hold the child’s attention, while never leaving the Word of God.
1st – 5th Grade – Victory Kids – For the first through fifth graders our mission is to provide biblical teachings and instructions in a loving and caring environment where Auburn WA Church Kids can be drawn to Jesus Christ and learn to seek Him earnestly, serve Him faithfully, and share Him boldly with others.
Curriculum
Our classrooms have structured lessons and activities showing children that the Bible is true, and that Jesus is our Creator and Savior! We use a curriculum provided by CEF – Child Evangelism Fellowship. Our curriculum provides answers to the issues that confront today’s culture through the media, school, friends, etc. CEF provides a thorough understanding of the authority and primary teachings of Scripture.
Junior Helpers
Our Junior Helper program is a Youth Leadership opportunity for students in grades 6th-12th. Students who are selected for this program will be assigned to various classrooms on Sunday mornings to assist our Children’s Ministry. Opportunities include working in our infant room, toddler room, or assisting with the older preschool and elementary aged kids. Students must apply and both students and parents must sign a program contract agreeing to the parameters of the program. The goal of this ministry is two-fold. First it is meant to give youth kids an opportunity to be part of a leadership program where they learn how to serve in a ministry and the responsibility of volunteering. Secondly it is meant as a great enhancement to our Children’s Ministry classrooms.
Safety – Child Check In
At Faith and Victory Church we care about the safety of our children. All of our kids are checked in to each classroom as they are dropped off. You must leave your contact information at that time so we can contact you if there is a problem. For the smaller children we provide pagers so you can be contacted immediately. Children may only be picked up by the parents of the child. Our safety team provides an additional set of eyes to make sure all the kids are where they are supposed to be.
