We all have authority in our lives whether it’s our parents, or our boss, or sometimes even the government. The Church has spiritual authority when it comes to the body of Christ. The pastors/elders have been called to lead the church. You (as a member of the body) have been called to submit to their leadership (as long as it’s Biblical). You are also called to submit to God. Sometimes we as Christians resist authority even when it’s righteous.

Tasks
#1. You should be baptized (if you are a member), describe what your baptism means to your faith to your Discipleship Mentor.
#2. Examine the people that you are submitted to in your life? List off 3 people you would allow to correct you (not your spouse). If you don’t have three people, start to build a relationships with a person/people you’d like to be accountable too. Discuss with your Discipleship Mentor the places you need to work on when it comes to authority.
#3. Ask your Discipleship Mentor and same sex FVC Pastor (Not Pastor Matt or Crystal) to list 3 things that you need to work on in your faith. Write them down and be prepared to work on them in the next section.
Accountability

I verify before God and before the witness (Discipleship Mentor) that I have listened to the sermons, read the Bible verses, answered the questions, and completed the tasks as assigned. I am submitted to God and the leadership of Faith and Victory Church. I have also been baptized according to God’s word.
