The Church does not need your money. We say this ever week before we take up the tithe because it’s true. God is the church’s provider not you. We as Christians tithe because God has commanded it and because it is a physical representation that nothing is more important than God in our lives. This is why we call tithing “first fruits”. We give to God first.
Serving goes hand in hand with tithing. Aside from your money nothing is more important than the time in your life. God commands us to take time out of our lives to serve Him and to serve each other. You should be involved in some ministry within the local church.
You need to trust God with your money and your time.

Tasks
#1. If you are not currently serving in an FVC Ministry sign up for one. If you need help choosing one discuss it with your Discipleship Mentor or Pastor Todd (todd@faithandvictory.com)
#2. Create a one month written budget of your finances and present it to your Discipleship Mentor.
Include Amounts for each of the following: Money Earned, Bills, Debt, Food, Savings, Emergency Fund, Tithe, and Fun Money. Track (write down) all money earned and spent for that month. Compare your budget with the money you actually spent with your Discipleship Mentor.
#3. Tithe accountability. Have Pastor Aubrey (aubrey@faithandvictory) or Deacon Kasey Maiorca (kasey@faithandvictory.com) confirm to your Disciple Mentor that you have been tithing for a three month period (no amounts will be mentioned).

I have received a message confirming this disciple is a tither at FVC. I have also checked and discussed all the questions and tasks that were assigned. This disciple is ready to move forward.
