ACCUSED

ACCUSED

STAY IN YOUR LANE. The enemy is called “the accuser of the brethren” and if you let him in and entertain his lies, you will fall under deception, condemnation and shame. Multiple times, I have had someone get mad at me for not doing what they wanted me to do. Never mind that they did not tell me what they wanted from me, nor were they in fellowship with me; but they thought I should have done what they expected me to do. I fell into shame.

This happens quite often to pastors and leaders. People expect a lot from the pastor and for you to be involved in every single person’s life and know every detail of what’s going on. This happened to the early church leaders when dissension arose for care of the widows, “Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. (take care of these widows) Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”” Acts‬ ‭6:2-4‬

‭There’s a reason we fellowship with the Body- everyone has a job to do and a part to play. If the mouth only shows up to eat, then it does not do a large percentage of its responsibilities and others have to pick up the slack. My job from the Lord is to be constant in prayer, to diligently study the Word and teach the Word. I have a lot of people God has placed within my care. I can and I do other duties as assigned, but if I get sidetracked from my calling as a teacher and a prophet; I am useless to my Lord. If I’m too busy taking care of the widows, I have left off my God-given assignment.

I am responsible for doing my Lord’s will. I am responsible for the mission He gave me to complete. If I send another to do that duty, then it’s been done. This is why we have fellowship with the Body. On that day, He will ask YOU, “What did you do with the talents I gave you?” You are not responsible for what others think about you nor are you responsible to do what others want you to do.

Do not let someone who is not obeying Jesus tell you what a Christian should do. Do what He has called you to do and leave the shame with the devil. “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.”‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:4-6‬ ‭ESV‬‬#runyourrace
