HAVE YOU EVER BEEN to a resort? I went to one years ago. It was an all-inclusive resort, so that all my meals, drinks and entertainment were provided for. As long as I stayed in the resort I could scuba dive, snorkel, play water games, jet ski and a host of other indoor and outdoor activities that were all included in my initial pay. However, do something outside the resort, there was a high price to pay. “Be my strong refuge, To which I may resort continually; You have given the commandment to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress.” Psalms 71:3 NKJV
Now, the word “resort” here in Hebrew means to “come or enter in, go by”, but I can resort to Him; He is my strong refuge. His presence is all-inclusive. Jesus paid the price and now I have complete access to His presence and everything He is and supplies through the blood of Christ. His Word is my Rock.
The question being, are you resorting to His presence? Where do you resort for help? For vain is the help of man. Where do you resort for joy? In His presence is fullness of joy. Where do you resort for peace? He is the Prince of peace. He can, will, does supply all your needs- but are you resorting to His presence? Do you go to the Word for strength? Anxiety, stress, depression, tormenting fear, selfish desires, bitterness and lies- all are outside His resort and will cost you more than you want to pay. #runyourrace
