YOU ARE NOT ANOINTED TO do another’s work. You are not anointed to walk in another’s shoes. You are only anointed to be you and do what God has called you to do. Everyone wants to be Paul, but God anointed Paul to his own work, “And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.” Acts 19:11-12 ESV
Follow Paul’s faith, but you are not called to be Paul. God can and will work miracles through us, but your ministry will be different than Paul’s. Believe me, I’ve tried to be someone else and do things the way they did things and it ALWAYS blows up in my face. You can walk the extra mile with someone, but you cannot walk in their shoes. Their shoes don’t fit you. You are not anointed to wear their shoes
. Only Joseph was anointed to be Pharaoh’s right hand. Only Joshua was anointed to lead the next generation. Only Deborah was anointed to go with Barak. Only Gideon was anointed to lead the 300. I am an only child, but I’ve heard from people with siblings say their parents said things like, “Why can’t you be more like your brother?!” Well, because you are not your brother, you don’t think like him, your brain doesn’t work like his, you were not endowed with his same gifts and talents.
You are your brother’s keeper, but you are not your brother. “And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.” 1 Corinthians 12:28-31
Stop picking apart another’s ministry. They will answer to God for doing/not doing what God has called them to. You don’t have to like the way they do something, but it doesn’t mean what they are doing is wrong (unless it’s completely unscriptural, but that’s for another day).
We always think only our way is the right way. They will answer to God and so will you. Get off your high horse and do the job He’s given you to do. And stop trying to be someone else, you are not anointed to be anyone but you. Be content in your anointing and rest in His grace and peace for you. #runyourrace
