WHAT IF GOD’S ANSWER IS “NO”? What will you do when you cry out to God and He answers “NO”? I have watched people who have lost loved ones, lost relationships, lost material possessions cry out to God to save them, and yet their prayer was not answered according to their desire. Some of those people got angry with God and some pressed into God.

What will you do when God says, “NO”? What if you never get what you’ve been praying for? What if you have to live with that “thorn in your flesh” all the days of your life? What will you do? Will you be like Paul who petitioned the Lord three times to remove his thorn, but the Lord gave him a firm “NO”?

“And he hath said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭

Is it enough for you to rest in His grace? Is grace truly enough? By the way, “NO“ is a grace word. You have no idea what God is saving you from when He gives you a “NO”. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. We say it is all the time, but is it really enough when He tells you “NO” to something you desperately want?

Is it enough for you to live covered by His grace and enveloped in His love, no matter what you might go through? Will you get angry or will you press into Him? Parents stop saying “Yes” to everything your children want. You are not teaching them about the nature and character of our Heavenly Father. Teach them to receive a “NO” gracefully. He gives good gifts. He will meet the desires of your heart when that desire is in accordance with His Divine will and plan.

Now, if you have not heard a distinctive “NO” nor an affirmative “YES”, then keep praying. Keep seeking. Keep asking. Keep knocking. It could be He is arranging events to prepare you and others for what is coming. Do not lose hope. Do not quit or grow weary. Wait on the Lord and He will answer. I encourage you to really get to know Jesus and become acquainted with His ways so that when the trial comes and you are waiting for an answer; and no matter what the answer is you can in faith cry out, “Your grace is enough!”
