IF YOU DO NOT have a desire to worship God, then why? If you forsake the gathering of the brethren, then why? If you spurn the Body of Christ, His beautiful Bride, the church of the living God; then why? I’ll give you a few reasons: your love has grown cold. You cannot say you love God and neglect His church. “In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.” 1 John‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭AND you cannot love your brother in Christ if you are absent from his life.

Love is the trademark of a Christian and this love is to be displayed among the brethren. A second reason: you are lukewarm. Lukewarmness is a symptom of a deeper issue- “you say” you are good and you are increased in riches, both materially and spiritually; therefore you can do what you want. You are an autonomous person, self-governing your own life, making your own path. You are not submitted to the authority of a Body, therefore you are not submitted to God. “God places the people in the Body” 1 Cor 12:18, therefore if you don’t stay and submit, you are in rebellion. Third reason: you have been offended and have become bitter and resentful. Unforgiveness is corrupting your soul.

Which of these reasons fit you? The church is the NT Ark and you better get on board a battleship. Repent of your rebellion and stubbornness. Repent of unforgiveness and pray for your enemies. Stop treating the church of the living God like a restaurant. Quit church hopping. Stop being offended. Stay where you are planted and THEN and only THEN will you flourish. “Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God.” Psalms‬ ‭92:13‬ ‭ #runyourrace
