WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? When I’m asked this at the gym, I’m never offended. The gym people have the same mind as I do, they care about working out and keeping in shape. They like seeing me at the gym and chatting. I’ve built some friendships with people there. I feel missed when I am asked this question. They noticed. So, why would you be offended when a brother or sister asks “where have you been? why you haven’t you been at church?” Maybe it’s because they are like-minded. Perhaps they actually care about seeing you and that your spiritual walk is growing.
These people know to “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25 NKJV AND that day is fast approaching! Let me let you into my heart, if I ask you this question, I’m not judging you. I care about you. I care about your spiritual walk more than your circumstances. I long to see you grow in the Lord. I know you need the preaching so your faith can grow. I know that if you are not in the congregation, you are spiritually dying.
Faith comes by HEARING the Word of God being preached by an anointed preacher. TV evangelism is not fellowship. I know that just as much as you need the Body, the Body needs you. You supply a need. You have gifts to offer. You are missed. What I also know is that there is lack in the Body when you’re absent. The church suffers. We want YOU in our fellowship!! Where have you been?
