“As for God, His way is blameless. The word of the LORD is tested [it is perfect, it is faultless]; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.” Psalms 18:30 AMP
Have you ever noticed that school books are constantly revised and updated? As time goes on, we grow, learn, and discover new things. Therefore, our knowledge and understanding grows, and the literature needs to be updated and revised with our new discoveries and ever-changing philosophies and ethics. It’s not so with the word of God, His word never changes. What was spoken from the beginning is what we still read to this day. His word was perfect from start, and will always be perfect and unchanging.
The Bible says His word is ALIVE, it is active, it is power, and it is perfect in every way. Jesus said “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.” (John 5:39). It’s through Scripture that we know Him, and it’s by His word that we judge truth and lies. It’s His word that convicts, changes, and purifies. Christ gave Himself for the church, “that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word” (Eph. 5:26).
Peter spoke wisely when he said “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:68). Knowing this to be true, why do you need to be convinced to read it? How long will you refuse to put Him first? How long will you place the cares of this world above Him? The time is short, don’t waste another minute pursuing dead works and fruitless endeavors! #CalledtoBattle
