EVER DISLOCATED A JOINT? My daughter dislocated her elbow in a basketball game her freshman year. She was in so much pain she almost went into shock. This is the pain one is in when you trust in someone who betrays you. I had a friend that I confided in, shared my hurts and pains, vented to them about my frustrations, etc. They became offended for something I seemly had done, cut me off and began to tell others things I said to them in confidence.
This is the meaning of this Scripture, “Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble Is like a bad tooth and a foot out of joint.” Proverbs 25:19 Shame on me for not realizing their true nature, but double shame on them for not holding a confidence, even in their anger. It’s disgraceful and sinful. What’s this mean to you? Do you want people to be able to trust you? Then be a vault and hold a confidence.
Whether times are good or bad, whether you like them or don’t like them, whether they make you angry or not; hold a confidence. I’m not telling you to keep sin secret; hopefully you understand the difference, but hold a confidence. Be a genuine friend. Stop gossiping and slandering others- even if you don’t like them. If someone is telling you something in confidence, they are telling you something secret or private and trusting you to not tell anyone else. #runyourrace
