YOU WERE NOT SANCTIFIED for yourself. The “me-centered” gospel that’s so prevalently preached has produced a very selfish and self-centered Christian. This gospel values human happiness and comfort above God and His Word. “I’m just called to love!” Yet, there’s no true love, no true repentance, no true regeneration, an individual mindset and a lack of the fear of the Lord.
Twin demons have infiltrated the church: Tolerance and Rebellion. When people say, “We need to get back to the book of Acts church!” They mean a house-church because they refuse to submit to authority. The early church started out meeting anywhere there was space, which was often in houses, businesses and even the catacombs. But they gathered to preach the Word and worship together, to lay hands on one another and greet the brethren with a holy kiss, even under a death sentence.
They would not let fear keep them from obeying. Why would they do this? Because new believers under the discipleship of the apostles were taught the Word of God in truth, “you are not your own, you were bought with a price”. Paul considered all things as dung compared to knowing Jesus and being found in Him; his life was not dear to him and was lived solely for Christ. The NT Christians walked in the fear of the Lord (Acts 9:31) and understood they were sanctified for one purpose: His purpose. Paul went, stayed, preached, forsook, spoke, taught, ALL the Lord commanded him. He held nothing back from serving Christ.
When does your fear and self-preservation become disobedience? (Rebellion) When does your silence become consent? (Tolerance)“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”I Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV#runyourrace
