AS SURE AS THE SUN WILL RISE, God will have His way. “The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” Psalms‬ ‭119:160‬ ‭But will you see His promises? Or be of the rebellious generations of Israelites who continually missed out? The book of Judges records that Israel went through 7 major cycles of apostasy, bondage, calling out to God, God’s deliverance and then falling away again.

Here’s a few truths revealed in these historical events: The natural direction of God’s people, even after revival and restoration, is spiritual decline again. The history of salvation reveals a people reluctant to learn and profit from the spiritual decline and tragic consequences of previous generations of believers. Unbelief and rebellion (lawlessness, operating outside of God’s authority) are not insignificant, they are an affront to God and will be visited with judgment.

God is a merciful God ready to respond to sincere repentance from His people. Only a fervent faith, sincere gratitude, a persistent attempt to seek God’s face and a constant rejection of the ungodly ways of a pagan society will enable God’s people to maintain their first love and receive God’s promises and blessings. #runyourrace
