DO YOU BELIEVE IT IS BETTER
to serve than to pray? Or to go out on mission to bring water to a community rather than to preach the Word? Or to take care of a widow rather than to teach and study the Word? If you think any of these better, or deem them more holy; than you have been infiltrated by humanistic teaching. How is one better than the other?
Are there not many parts to the Body? If we were all hands, how would you walk anywhere? Are we not all called to a different work? Why then do you judge your brother? Without prayer and financial support, perhaps your mission would fail? Without the preaching of the Word, there would be no salvation. Isn’t that the goal? Why do you even care what another is doing? How does it even affect you if God chooses to use them differently than you? Did God speak to you about them?
Do all ministers have the same calling? Do all prophets have the same message? Certainly Jeremiah’s message differed from Ezekiel’s. I’m asking a rhetorical question because the answer is surely a resounding, “NO!” God speaks to you about Y.O.U. He doesn’t tell you what He tells His leader. Someone may be called to fight abortion from a political standpoint and another to teach His Word. Why do you even care?
Keep your plow in your field and your eyes on your own work. Be careful you don’t cast unrighteous judgment. “If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.” Galatians 6:3-5 #runyourrace
