Deacon in Training Program

Deacon Expectations

Deacon Training Meetings. TBD based on the schedule of the deacon class.  Once a month. Once we schedule the meetings I expect that everyone makes it unless you have a really good reason. Childcare will be provided.  Food will be provided.

Forming relationships with members and visitors of the church.  As an ongoing lifestyle.

You should be prepared for each class. That means coming with all material completed.

Be prepared to be called/texted/emailed randomly throughout the year to serve on a moments notice.  You are not expected to participate in all of these but you are expected to respond to the request (We understand you have other commitments.  We just need you to text/call/email us back and let us know)

Sunday/Wednesday/Events Attendance is encouraged as much as possible.  Ministry happens when we are church.  We need all our deacons at our services if possible.

Participation in the January fasting period.

Disciple one person using 3D Discipleship. If you don’t already have someone, we can find someone for you. Provide feedback once you are done.

You will be required to serve in different ministries throughout the year in addition to the ministry you serve in full time.  By serve I mean volunteer one time.  You must contact the leader of each ministry and schedule yourself.  Please let them know you are a deacon in training (so they don’t count on you in the future).
