THE ENEMY OF YOUR soul is seeking to devour you and kill your faith. As Ahab and Jezebel hunted down Elijah to kill him, he is after you. As they wore him out until he wanted to die, so the enemy is after you. Are you prepared?
You should recognize your enemy’s tactics: offenses, unforgiveness, bitterness, selfish ambition, self righteousness, pride; he causes strife and division and uses such things as distractions and busyness to wear you down. He is crafty and stealthy. He uses deceit to seduce his prey and he’s very good at his job. He will wear you down until you want to curl up and die. He will seduce you into believing you are rich in spiritual things, but in reality you are lukewarm. Again I ask, are you prepared? “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” Jude 1:20-21
Elijah was a man of great faith because he was a man of great prayer. Be diligent to pray always, in the Spirit and with understanding. Pray before the battle. Know the Word of God. In the middle of the battle, you’ll find yourself with no sword for you cannot recall any Scripture you have never read. You’ll get it in a minute. Keep yourself in His love and according to His mercy. Elijah was obedient. Live in His grace, by His rules and under His protective care. Stay in community! The enemy loves to isolate his prey. It makes you an easy target. THEN, when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. #runyourrace
