FRIDAY MORNING I WOKE UP with a bad headache. There are typically a few reasons for my headaches, since I’m not prone to them: sinus headache, dehydration, hormones, or I just plain ate too much sugar. I don’t wake up and say, “The enemy is attacking me!” I sit back and examine what’s going, seems it was a conglomeration of three of these reasons. As it is in the physical, so it goes in the spiritual.

Some of you get a spiritual headache and instead of examining what’s going on in your life, you jump to “Stupid devil is attacking me again!” But is he really?? Satan seeks to devour you through your weaknesses. Where have you left a crack open? Are you dehydrated from a lack of the Word of God and His Spirit? Forsaking the brethren?‬ ‭Did you eat too much sugar? Your own personal thoughts about a matter and about who God is? The lies and deceit of the enemy? A poor choice of friend is whispering in your ear? You’re not living off good meat/doctrine? Are you congested? Sinuses clogged?

God can’t get through to you because you’ve put up a block? You won’t listen to sound wisdom? Your bitter and contentious, unwilling to give grace and forgive, therefore blocking the flow of His presence in your life? “Examine yourself to see if you’re in the faith; test yourself” 2 Cor 13:5
“EXAMINE” is found 38 times in the NT and it’ is the idea of “endeavoring to discover the nature or quality of something by testing it; a SUSTAINED examination.” Before you point fingers; take a good, hard look in the mirror. Where’s your headache REALLY coming from? #runyourrace
