THE DOCTRINE OF “FAIRNESS AND EQUAL” does not exist. God is just, which means He is morally good, right, holy and true. And so because He is just, all of His dealings are JUST, not “fair”.
I have two kids, one boy and one girl. My son receives things my daughter does not, and vise-versa. He might get in trouble for something that she doesn’t get in trouble for. They are vastly different people. Matt and I don’t treat them “fair”, we treat them just. They are both loved, hugged and kissed a ton, cared for, clothed and fed. All their needs are met. And so God deals with us in the same ways.
One’s offering is accepted, another’s is not. One is given one talent and another is given five. One works all day for a penny, another works one hour. One will not have their thorn removed, another is delivered. Is this fair and equal? Not according to man, but it’s JUST, because God’s dealings with man are just. “For I know that the Lord is great and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatever the Lord pleases, that has He done in the heavens and on earth, in the seas and all deeps–” Psalm 135:5-6
He doesn’t ask you or I what He needs to do or how He needs to act. So, stop comparing yourself to someone else and what they’re doing, or what they have. Isn’t God feeding and clothing you? He clothes the grass, how much more will He clothe you? He promises to meet all your NEEDS. Stop trying to make your life “equal” to another’s. Be content with what He’s given you. Bless others and consider them above yourself. As always, keep your eyes on your own race. (From 2018)#runyourrace
