CAN YOU IMAGINE THE APOSTLE Paul hiding in his house, quarantining himself from a virus outbreak? Yeah, me neither. This same Paul was stoned seemingly to death, in as much as they thought he was dead and dragged his body outside the city and after he came to, he went back into that same city to preach. This same Paul was shipwrecked three times (I’m thinking after once, I’m never getting on another ship), whipped above measure, in prisons frequently, near death often, in weariness and pain often, in hunger and thirst, cold and nakedness. Yet he said, “But NONE of these things move me”.
Why? Because the life he lived was not his own, it was lived for His Savior. He did not care what happened to him, for if he lived than it was for the Lord and if he died then it was unto the Lord. Come on church! A light shines brightest in the darkness! Arise and shine! You don’t put a candle under a bushel, no it goes on the candlestick for all to see.
Our mandate has not changed. Preach the gospel. Lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Obey and fear God, not the world. Be instant, be ready, in season and out, whether you feel like it or not, whether it’s good times or bad. “For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous, unless the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity”. Go and learn what this means. God has not given up His authority. The church will prevail, but will you be a part of her or cower in fear? “The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalms 27:1 #RunYourRace
