“AN UNJUST MAN is an abomination to the righteous, and he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.” Proverbs 29:27 These words point out not only the antagonism between the doers of good and evil, but the instinctive antipathy which the one feels toward the other. It’s almost as if the Spirit speaks, “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14 But most don’t want the Word of God; they are feeling-driven.
The above Proverb avers there is a holy nature in the godly man that instinctively repels those who operate in wickedness and the adverse is also true. Yet many cannot even discern good from evil because they have a seared conscience and refuse to crucify the sinful flesh. Oswald Chambers said, “Sin is a blatant mutiny against God, and either sin or God must die in my life.” You will either be ruled by your sinful nature or by the power of the Spirit.
These are your only two options. This idea of “accepting Jesus” with no change in your nature is a lie. The works of the flesh are evident as well as the fruit of the Spirit and there is a great conflict between the two- Galatians 5:16-26. Go back to the Proverb. Which do you attract?#runyourrace
