TAKE YOUR FEELINGS OUT OF IT.
If you do not believe I have your best interests at the heart of what I do, then you should not be in a relationship with me, nor anyone else who doesn’t desire the best for you. Just because I tell you things that hurt, doesn’t mean I do not love you. Oh, it’s quite the contrary. I tell you things that hurt because I want the best for you.

Most often, we cannot see our blind spots. We need another set of eyes to say, “Look out! You’re about to get smashed!” Listen up! Your feelings and emotions are going to smash you. Experience is not a good indicator, and will set us against the Holy Spirit. Self pity is idolatry. I’m trying to help you Bro! The enemy is whispering in your ear and you’re teaming up with the rebellious who will give you lip service and make you “feel” good about your path. I’ve seen it way too many times and I have done the same.

Paul wrote a hard hitting letter to the Corinthian church and they hated him for his harsh words of discipline. He writes, “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.” ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭12:15‬ ‭Did you know that God puts these kind of “Pauls” in your life? Did you know that we need the watchmen on the wall? That we are like dumb sheep led to the slaughter? That you’re not always right and what you are “seeing” can be an absolute lie? Beware the flatterer and those who always tell you what you want to hear. They are not watching out for your soul, they want you to continue to like them. #runyourrace
