DID I NOT SAY TO YOU…? I hear my Lord’s words ringing in my ears, “Did I not already tell you? When will you actually believe Me?” I hear His Words and I trust Him, but that doubt constantly sneaks in. When God when? Why God why? How? Where? But WHEN!? Lazarus lay dead in his grave for four days, yet to Jesus it could have been forty days, made no difference to Him. He had and quite frankly, still HAS control over life and death. He’s in no hurry. Time doesn’t control Him. Death cannot hold Him. He knows what He will do and how He will do it.
“Jesus said to her, Did I not tell you and promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would see the glory of God?” John 11:40
He had already told Martha, but He reassures her again. Ahhh, sweet reassurance. It’s His way. Yes, He’s already told you He would provide, but He reassures you that He will not leave you to do it alone. He has already told you He will lead you and guide you, but He still reassures you that He keeps His Word. He’s not angry because you have doubt. Ask for Him to help your unbelief and turn it over into faith. In your weariness, keep plowing.
He will reassure you yet once again that He is faithful and that He knows what He’s doing. Did He already tell you? Yes, but He says you can keep asking, seeking, knocking. He wants you to trust and believe, yet He still helps you. Scripture records He is my Help, Deliverer, mighty Fortress, Lord of the harvest, faithful Redeemer, Strength of my life, Light of the world,
Hope in tribulation, the God who is more than enough, Teacher, Comforter, Advocate, my Banner, strong Tower, Healer, the Lifter of my head, the Alpha and the Omega, the Prince of Peace, the everlasting Father, Wonderful, Counselor, Master, Savior, Lion of Judah, the Great Shepherd, Rock of salvation, Lamb of God, Son of David, King of kings and Lord of lords, Eternal God, holy Lord of glory, the all powerful Word of God.
What has He spoken that He won’t fulfill? What need do you have that He cannot meet? Are you in doubt today? Ask for help to believe. Believe as it’s recorded of Abraham, “who against all hope, believed.” No circumstance can stop Him. He is not limited by even death, for He can raise what has died. Increase your faith IN HIM by reading and studying the Word of God, listen to Scriptural preaching (faith comes by hearing), be found in His church, go to Bible study and faithfully attend to prayer; so that when the trial comes you may confidently say, “Yes Lord, I believe You can do all things!”
“But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.” Malachi 4:2
