HARVEST

HARVEST

SUPERNATURAL DEBT CANCELLATION! Some friends of ours like to joke about these preachers who tell you to sow a seed to their ministry and your financial debt will be canceled. I have never seen anyone get out of debt who didn’t buckle down hard and with God’s help, diligently work to pay it off. The only supernatural debt cancellation is the wiping away of your sins through the blood of Jesus.

Such is America, most want the easy way, and if it doesn’t come easy, they give up and quit. There is no one in the Bible who did anything for the Lord who was not diligent. They refused to give up. Oh sure, when Elijah was tired, he rested, but then he got up and ran a marathon. Moses was diligent to speak “Let my people go!” Nehemiah was diligent in rebuilding the temple, even in the face of great opposition. Paul was diligent to spread the gospel until his death. He ran his race, kept the faith and died alone in prison, everyone including the churches he established forsaking him. Complete success! You get the picture.

“And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.” II Cor‬ ‭8:10-11‬ ‭

“When God when?” I hear you. This has often been my cry as well. He hears you and He will answer you in due season. So many times I want things now. I want to see the fruit of my sowing now as I cry out to God, “I’ve been faithful to sow! I am your servant, hear my cries. When Lord? When will you come and heal? When will I see a harvest? When will you answer?” Just when.

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “all good things come to those who wait”, somewhat true. I’d like to add the words, “on God while continuing to be diligent to tend their field.” If you continue to sow the seeds God has given you to sow and keep the field God has given you to keep; then you will reap a good harvest in due season. However, only He knows which season, your job is to keep plowing and sowing precious seed. Cultivate your crops. Weed. Spray some bug repellant so the locust don’t eat up your crops. Pray for rain, your season of harvest will come.

“The LORD upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season” Psalms‬ ‭145:14-15‬ ‭

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬ ‭

Some seasons are short and some are forever long- but He knows your due season for a bountiful harvest. Don’t give up plowing. I know it gets hard and the sun is hot, but keep tending your fields. Harvest time is coming. God is faithful to complete the work He has started in you and in return you must be diligent to complete the work He has given you until the end, no matter how it looks to the world. Just don’t quit and lose heart. Only through your diligence will you be successful.

Lord of our harvest, give us strength for our season of plowing that we may reap a BOUNTIFUL HARVEST in due season! In Jesus’ mighty name.
