“THE CHASTISEMENT OF OUR PEACE was upon Him: and with His stripes we are healed”. Not only can we attain peace with God, we can receive healing through the blood of Jesus. I need to explain to you what this “healing” entails- it refers to salvation with all its benefits, spiritual and physical. When the Scripture says, “He has borne our griefs” the Hebrew word here is literally “sickness” or “infirmities”.

Thus the Messiah would endure punishment in order that we might not just be delivered from our sins, but from the infirmities that afflict our flesh. As He bore our sins, He also took upon Him our infirmities and disease that belonged to us, and He carried them so we could be freed and healed: spirit, mind, body and soul. Jesus gave gifts of healing to the church (1 Cor 12:9) and commanded His followers to heal the sick as part of the proclamation of the kingdom of God.

Therefore, if the Spirit of God dwells in you, then you have a responsibility to pray over others to be healed in Jesus mighty name. But do you believe? Just because you have never experienced healing, does not make it any less true that God is our healer. The Scriptures declare it to be true!

If you lack faith, ask God for more faith. Saturate your life with God’s Word and let His promises about healing enter your spirit as revelation. Put your faith into operation. The outcome is not on you— it’s on you to pray and believe God’s Word in faith and He does the rest. “Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,” Psalms‬ ‭103:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
