MICAIAH WAS THE ONLY prophet out of 400 who was a true prophet of God. The rest prophesied by a “lying spirit” (v. 23) and were completely convinced they had the Spirit of God, “But Zedekiah son of Chenaanah went near and struck Micaiah on the cheek and said, Which way went the Spirit of the Lord from me to speak to you?” 1 Kings‬ ‭22:24‬ ‭This should put a holy fear in you to test every “prophetic” utterance against the Word of God.

There are still prophets and prophecy operating in the church, but not everyone is a prophet and you cannot go to a school to learn how to be one. This is a gift from God. A mentor may disciple you in your walk, but the Spirit is your Teacher and the Word is your law. You do not speak things into existence, you speak only what the Spirit tells you to speak, “But Micaiah said, As the Lord lives, I will speak what the Lord says to me.” v.14.

You better be very careful! There’s a lying spirit that has overtaken the masses of God’s people and they BELIEVE they are hearing from God. But they refuse sound doctrine, always wanting something “new”, some new revelation or some new sign and many are being deceived. “And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error.” Matthew‬ ‭24:11‬ ‭Jesus said this is the sign of the end times.  ‭‭#runyourrace
