HAVE YOU MAGNIFIED His name above His Word? Psalm 138:2 declares that God has magnified His Word above all His name, meaning all His characteristics and attributes. Scripture declares that God is so faithful that He will do what He said He would do. He is faithful to keep His Word.
He has been so faithful to preserve the land He has given to Israel to this day, even after they rejected Him. He watches over His Word in order to perform what He has said. He does not just say things idly, He is not a man that He should lie. The Bible declares, “Will He not say it and then do it?” A rhetorical question.
No words of the Almighty have ever gone unanswered or unaccounted for. There’s a reason the Bible is under such a strong attack, it is the very words of God. Jesus made a stark comment, “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.” Matthew 10:37 We read this and declare, “I believe in grace!”
As if grace is a means to live according to your own will. And so you live to please your loved ones more than to please and obey God. The perfect law of liberty that Christ gives is freedom to live within in the confines of His Word and be led by the Holy Spirit; not freedom to self-govern and do what you want. This is not freedom, but a return to the captivity of your flesh. “He who finds his life shall lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake shall find it.” Somehow, somewhere, death to self has been left out of the gospel message. These are perilous times. “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”” II Timothy 2:19 NKJV#runyourrace
