IF YOU KNOW THE WORD of the Lord and you trust the Word of the Lord, you will not stumble. Here’s a Scripture I live by, “Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.” Psalms 119:165 You can avoid a lot of pitfalls and the voice of the enemy by knowing and obeying God’s Word.
I’m in the book of Nehemiah and in chapter 6, a prophet gives Nehemiah a word to “meet in the house of the Lord, in the temple, because they are coming to kill you”. Nehemiah replies with the following:“And I said, “Should such a man as I flee? And who is there such as I who would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in!””Nehemiah 6:11 NKJVSo not only would he not flee from the work of the building of the wall, even though his enemies sought his life; but he would never go into the temple because he was not a priest. Neither had he done anything wrong or sinful that he needed sanctuary, but he would not disobey God’s Word to go into the temple.
The following verse records Nehemiah’s heart, “then I perceived that God had not sent him (the prophet) at all” but he was hired by Nehemiah’s enemies. “Great peace of they who love your law and nothing causes them to stumble”. Because Nehemiah knew the Word of the Lord, he was able to navigate through the deception.
You can recognize any voice of the enemy, including false prophets and false disciples; when you know and trust God’s Word. Why do you think the enemy of our souls has worked so hard to undermine God’s Word? Because even Satan knows the power of the Word. It’s the original lie, “Did God really say?” When God’s people put their faith and trust in His Word, mountains can move. But what we are currently experiencing is a famine of God’s Word as in the days of Amos. The horns of the altar have been broken and there’s no more sanctuary from deception. ““That in the day I punish Israel for their transgressions, I will also visit destruction on the altars of Bethel; And the horns of the altar shall be cut off And fall to the ground.” Amos 3:14
How do you navigate through times of deception and thick fog? Know God’s Word. “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” Psalms 119:105 How do you navigate through fear and the voice of false prophets? ““Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.””Isaiah 12:2
We are in a time when Biblical illiteracy is at its highest in our history of America. 75-80% of people claiming to be born-again do not have a biblical world view. Sin abounds and righteousness is mocked by those claiming to know Him. The false prophets of Baal, the media and false agape teachers are preaching a Frankenstein Jesus. The enemy has taken over an apostate church. Am I painting a dim portrait? Yes, and it’s worse than you think.
Satan’s global agenda it taking root and will continue to spread. You must know God’s Word, trust His Word and obey His Word. You will be judged by the Word. These are perilous times. “Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.” Psalm 119:89 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”” 2 Timothy 2:15, 19 Know the Word. Trust the Word. Obey the Word. #runyourrace
