FOR WE ARE SAVED IN THIS HOPE, but hope that is seen is not hope, says Paul to the church in Rome. Read that again, “Hope that is seen is not hope”. Hope is a patient waiting for God to do what He said He would do. Hope is a full assurance that God is good and He is faithful. Hope knows no boundaries, but believes for His promises to be preformed with an expectation.
Hope is not an “I hope so” hope, but an “I know so” hope. It’s a knowing, trusting, believing, faithful and enduring reliance on God’s Word and a perseverance and pressing on until that hope is accomplished. Think about this, every prophetic word about Jesus was fulfilled and therefore will be fulfilled. He is returning for His own. Every word concerning Israel, God has kept and will keep, there’s a fullness coming in. Every promise to every man that God has spoken to, He performed it. David wanted to build Him a house, God gave him an eternal kingdom. Solomon asked for wisdom, God gave him that plus more.
We have a whole history of people that we can read about and see the faithfulness of God to keep His Word to His people. This is the foundation of our hope. God said it, I believe it, that settles it. Hope is in God’s Word, not what you want Him to do and in His character, “His mercies are new every day. Great is Thy faithfulness”. Hope in God’s Word, for I shall yet praise Him. Don’t give up hoping! Cast down the lies and discouragement from the enemy. You still have a hope and a future! God’s not done yet and this is not the end of your story. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 #RunYourRace
