IF YOU CONTINUALLY SAY, “I cannot”, then why? I hear these words all the time, “I can’t stop doing this” and “I cannot overcome this” from people who claim to have the Holy Spirit and to know Christ. I’ll give it to you straight, IF you do not have the Spirit inside you, then you are right. You cannot. But if the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then why can you not? The Creator of the universe lives within the child of God; what can you not do? What sin cannot be overcome? What addiction can not be squashed forever? What brokenness cannot be mended? What heart cannot be made whole? WHAT THEN IS IMPOSSIBLE? What cannot be overcome? The problem my dear friend is not with God, it’s with you. In most cases, people refuse to do what it takes to be made whole. The power of God is available to those in Christ, but you have to put your faith into operation. You must offer yourself as a living sacrifice and renew your mind to God’s Word. You must control your flesh and your thought life. You will live in the wilderness if you do not control your thinking. Put your tongue into subjection. Grumbling and complaining leads to death; but rather the giving of thanks. You ADD to your faith other virtues. Read you Bible and be constant in fellowship. Obey God. Pray in the Spirit. Be content with what you have. Give generously. Obey leadership- these are LIFE. “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give LIFE to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭You CAN do all things through Christ Jesus!
