MY SON USED TO WATCH A SHOW called “Liberty’s Kids”, basically it’s about the early years of America up to and during the Revolutionary War and how America got her liberty. We talk a lot about liberty in America and things that are being quickly stripped from us.

Freedom of Speech is quickly being redefined as “you’re at liberty to say what you want as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings”. Doesn’t seem much like “FREEDOM” of speech to me. But then, the concept of freedom is not defined by the law of the land, it’s defined by the lands lawful Creator. Doesn’t God require that we control our tongues? And only isn’t it within the boundary of controlling our tongues and words that freedom is found? Now apply this law to every area of your life. “And I will walk at liberty and at ease, for I have sought and inquired for [and desperately required] Your precepts.” Psalm‬ ‭119:45‬ ‭

The liberty that we so seek is only found within keeping God’s precepts and walking according to His ways. “How is that freedom?” you ask. You can speed, but won’t you get a ticket for speeding? Freedom is found in obeying the speed limit. You were created to live and walk within His kingdom and He sets the rules for His kingdom. His government is eternal and unchanging. This world is not your home.

Freedom is found in obedience and liberty is found in submission. In death, you find righteousness. In surrender, you find peace. In keeping your mouth, you keep your life. The real Liberty’s Kids obey God’s Law by walking according to His Spirit. But you still need to drive the speed limit. #runyourrace
