IF YOU DO NOT LIKE MY HUSBAND, then do not think you can have a relationship with me. I know ladies that love to sit around and talk bad about their spouses, not me. I’ve never said a bad word about him to anyone, except directly to him in my own frustration. But I refuse to talk bad about him or put him down in front of anyone’s eyes. I am loyal. I grieve what he grieves and I love what he loves.
I have this same love and devotion for my Lord and so did King David, “Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And am I not grieved and do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; they have become my enemies.” Psalm 139:21-22 David reflected on God’s love and care for him and he reciprocates with great love and loyalty. His anger is stirred towards others that mock His Lord and blaspheme His holy and wonderful name. David so identifies with the Lord that he loves what He loves and hates what He hates. The same love and devotion was found in Jesus, “He loved righteousness and hated iniquity”. David’s heart was so in connection with God’s heart that David was grieved and distressed by the evil and immorality around him.
Who’s side are you on? To have the Lord’s heart is to put away all your selfish desires and ambitions; to humble yourself before Him and others; to love righteousness and with holiness, hate iniquity; to align yourself with His Word and set yourself against the world. Examine yourself. Does your heart truly belong to Him? #runyourrace
