MORE MERCY? YES PLEASE! “For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;” Psalms‬ ‭103:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ How could King David, who did some unspeakably horrible, sinful deeds continually have God’s mercy? Because he loved and FEARED God. I don’t ever want to lose my awe for a Holy God. The man who walks down that path is foolish. Living in awe of God will keep you at His feet. For some odd reason, people don’t like these words, “fear of the Lord”. Could it be that you don’t want to really believe that a good God has to be just? His holy nature requires it of Him. He will destroy wickedness. He must. His love doesn’t annul His judgment- in fact, it supports it.

Fear of the Lord is a good thing. It keeps you firmly grounded on His Word. HE is Creator, you are His creation. You do not get to tell God what to do; He tells you what to do. His disciplines are right and just; repent and accept your chastening. His timing is always perfect; don’t seek your own path, be patient. His ways are above your ways; stop complaining and allow yourself to be led. He can do whatever He pleases, and you do not get to say a word; deal with it. He’s working things out for YOUR good. THIS is living in awe of Him and when you have this mindset, He pours out MORE mercy. “Like a father pities his children, so the LORD pities them that fear Him”. #runyourrace
