IF YOU HOLD ON TO AN OFFENSE, you will not be able to see clearly. Offenses create huge blind spots in your vision. Why are you so offended? Have you been so wronged? I’m going out on a limb here, but chances are you’ve done the same to others that they are doing to you, “Also do not take to heart everything people say, Lest you hear your servant cursing you. For many times, also, your own heart has known That even you have cursed others.”
Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 Wisdom whispers to you, “but you have done the same to another”, why are you so offended? Maybe you’re reaping what you’ve sown? Stop being so self righteous. Your offense is dripping with false humility. The Bible wasn’t written for you to accuse others, it is for your own examination and spiritual walk. Preaching isn’t for others, it’s for you. Stop accusing another saying, “that was for you.” Nope. Listen to hear, not accuse.
Do some mirror time, not selfie time; and self reflect on your inconsistencies and hypocrisy. Everyone else can see your offense. Take the plank out of your eye so you can actually see clearly in helping another. Put your oxygen mask on first, otherwise you cannot possibly help out your brother; and by all means possible, get rid of your offense! God takes no part in your bitterness. If you are truly innocent, is God not big enough to defend you?
