I HAVE A LOT OF PEOPLE say to me, “What do you know about pain?” They see me now. They see me happily married for 21+ years. They see my children loving and secure. They see me preaching the Word and think, “she doesn’t know what it’s like to be broken”. But you did not see me B.C. You didn’t see my brokenness. You didn’t see my abuse and neglect. You didn’t know my ugly world. LOOK what the LORD has done! I don’t share my testimony for pity, in fact I’m often ashamed of my past ignorance and defiling of my temple; but I share with others to say, “You do not have to remain a victim nor live in a state of slop!”

Most assuredly, there is NOTHING that cannot be overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Holy Spirit- your past is forgiven, every sin and lie can be defeated, every thought taken captive, every action thwarted. There’s no reason to look back, only forward towards that eternal crown.

Friend, do whatever it takes to guard that narrow path you’ve started on. I heard a pastor say, “You cannot fall in the Grand Canyon from Texas”. Your past of brokenness is not an excuse. Your family is not an excuse. You have been given everything you need in order to overcome in this life. Get rid of all fear and man’s approval. Set your face like a flint. “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Revelation‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭#runyourrace
