SOMEONE’S PERSONA is the aspect of their character or nature that they present to other people, perhaps in contrast to their real character or nature. Welcome to today’s virtual reality. Many people have a FB persona that does not match up with their real life.

You can say anything, post anything to make people believe things about you that are not true and unknowing, deceived people can write on your FB wall and encourage you in your deception, boosting your ego. This happens all the time, but it’s no different than the hypocrites and Pharisees of Jesus’ day. These presented themselves to society in a certain way, but their true nature was only revealed to the One who was discerning, fooling all others. In fact the word “hypocrite” in the Greek has to do with an actor in a play.

The hypocrite was only acting out a part. I’m amazed at how many of God’s people lack discernment. The Holy Spirit should have given you new eyes. How is it you cannot see deceptive people? It’s because you are still blind. How do you recognize an actor? “He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments (ways and precepts), is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭A hypocrite is a person who does not live according to the whole counsel of God’s Word, but professes to be a Christian and “appears” to be righteous before men. Read 2 Timothy 3:1-5. These are within the church Body, from such turn away. Does this sound harsh? Many will be deceived and turn away from the truth. My heart is grieved by the deception taking place. Bad company corrupts good morals. #runyourrace
