STOP WALLOWING IN YOUR PITY. I do not attest to the victim mindset because I overwhelmingly believe we are more than conquerors (in the Greek it’s one word “superconquerors”) through Him who loves us. Have compassion, but there comes a time when we need to rise up, and overcome. Compassion can be masquerading as enabling. “Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines, For our vines have tender grapes.” Song of Solomon 2:15 It’s the “little foxes” that spoil your fruit, mainly your thoughts.
If you do not control your thought life, you will remain in your proverbial desert. “Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ”. You must renew your mind to God’s Word and firmly believe, without wavering that He is good and He is faithful. He either is in control or He is not. Either let Him half His way and come under His molding hands, or tell Him He cannot change you or the situation. Often, He is allowing this trial to refine you, let Him work. He is cleansing your heart and purifying your faith. Recognize the lies of the enemy, “Nobody likes me. I can’t do this. I’ll always be in this situation.”
Your thinking gets you stuck in your situation. Affliction is only temporary, this season is only for a time; don’t get stuck there. And for goodness sake, watch your complaining! Your job is to believe God, not complain. What’s in your heart? Thoughts turn into words and actions, and these are the little foxes that spoil your fruit.
