PRAYER

YOU KNOW THE STORY- Joshua is fighting the Amaleks. Moses is above the battle, arms holding up the rod in intersession. His arms get tired, Israel begins to lose the battle, Aaron and Hur have him sit and they hold up Moses’ arms and Israel wins the battle. “And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.” Exodus‬ ‭17:11-12‬

‭The way I see it, you’re one of three people in different seasons of life: you’re actively in a battle, you’re an intercessor actively praying for the success of the battle, or you’re holding up another’s arms to help aid in the battle. ALL THREE ARE NEEDED. This is how the Body of Christ works. Those actively fighting a battle need prayer! Pray is your #1 weapon. You’re not winning the battle without other’s prayers for good success, we are all working together for a common goal. Lastly, there are those who are wearied and need physical help.

Speaking from experience, most pastors are praying for you and fighting for you- they need their arms lifted. Are you holding up theirs arms, or making life more difficult for them? Where are YOU currently in this story? Are you actively in a battle and need prayer support? Are you asking for prayer? If you’re an intercessor, are you actively praying for the success of the battle? Maybe you can’t fight anymore, but you can pray! Are the intercessors wearied and need you to lift them up? #runyourrace
