PRIDE GOETH BEFORE DESTRUCTION and a haughty spirit before a fall. Do you know what chokes out the Word of God in your life? Pride. But the prideful man doesn’t see his own pride, and even in the case where it’s pointed out to him; he’s too puffed up to see it. Guess what? Everyone else can see it in you. Do you use the words, “I” or “me” a lot? As in, “I did this”, or “look what I have done” or “I have more wisdom and knowledge than others and so I am above you”? Are any of these phrases coming out of your mouth? Does your FB timeline consist of YOU and YOUR accomplishments? Do you often give glory to God or yourself? What do you have that was not given to you? Who gave you the ability to get wisdom and wealth? Who gave you arms, legs and mouth? Who gave you a brain? Where were you when God created the mountains and the seas? The prevailing spirit of today is an antichrist spirit that speaks, “I am my own god”. AND “I can do what I want, go where I want, say what I want.” “For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’” Isaiah‬ ‭14:13-14‬ ‭AND you may not see it because pride is self-deceiving; but you better listen when another points it out. It’s a life or death situation. Humble yourself in true humility. Let God lift you up, not yourself. Do you not believe He is able?
