JESUS WAS NOT CONDEMNED FOR HIS good works, but rather for His righteous words. Do good works all day long and people will love you; but begin to speak the everlasting words of life and truth, teach Scripture and you will be condemned. “Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”” John 10:31-33.
Here is the cry of today’s world: “Serve others and shut up! Don’t you dare say a Word about righteousness, it’s hate speech. Don’t tell me about God’s laws, they’re outdated. Don’t judge me or challenge my walk, I’ll do what I want to do!” Yet, Jesus’ Words penetrated the heart of man, “Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand! Go your way and sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you”. Yes, do good works; but good works are not the gospel. Paul , Stephen, Peter, John- none were condemned for healing; all were condemned for preaching the Word.
The gospel is words. Your words reflect your heart. Sin destroys lives and condemns all to hell. The only way to escape is the cross of Christ and it’s a narrow, afflicted and costly path. You must repent- have a change of mind and turn away from all that offends God. You must surrender all and leave all to follow Him. The cowardly and all liars are not in Christ’s kingdom. You better be sure you are not leading others down that broad road to destruction for remaining silent. #runyourrace
