“A man is not established by wickedness, But the root of the righteous cannot be moved.”
Proverbs 12:3 NKJV
Those who abide in Christ, who seek Him wholeheartedly, who keep His commands and love Him, they cannot be moved because He cannot be moved. The root of the righteous is Jesus, He is the rock upon which the wise man builds his house (Mat. 7:24-25). When the winds blow, the rain and floods come, that house that stands upon Him will continue to stand.
We will have tribulation in this world (trials, difficulties, or persecution), but Christ has overcome the world and gives peace to all who dwell with Him (John 16:33). Have you built your house upon the rock, or the sand? Where are your roots? A man cannot be established by wickedness, and those who reject Jesus and His ways are counted among them. The scoffers will come, indeed, they are already here! They walk according to their own lusts and desires, believing that His coming is a lie (II Pet. 3:3-4). The time is short, and the Lord will come as a thief in the night, unexpected and unannounced. Will you be prepared, or will you delay? This time has been given to us to prepare His bride, to prepare ourselves, and to announce His triumphant return.
“You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;”
II Peter 3:17
