YOUR ROOTS ARE SHOWING. Call it what you will: negligence, not enough time, too busy, etc.; it’s all just excuses. Adversity exposes your roots. The prophet Isaiah had to bring warning of impending judgment to the apostate Judah. Outwardly, they “worshipped” God, but their roots revealed something different. God did everything to make them a righteous and fruitful nation, but they turned away from God’s Word, “Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust; Because they have rejected the law of the LORD of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.”

Isaiah‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭Your fruit is the evidence of your root. It’s never what you see, it’s what you don’t see. What do I mean? When you are not truly rooted in Christ, in His Word and ways, and planted in the Body; your character will be exposed. Your words give you away, and your actions will soon follow. If the Word of God doesn’t have supreme place in your life, it will be exposed. Adversity exposes your foundation. In the midst of opposition from the world, you must resist conforming to evil trends and persevere in loyalty to Christ and the truth of His Word- not your version of Jesus and not your own “ministry”. Jesus said, “keep My Word and do not deny My name” (Rev 3:8). It doesn’t matter what others do. Will you keep His Word? #runyourrace
