“FOR THE SCEPTER OF wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the [uncompromisingly] righteous, lest the righteous (God’s people) stretch forth their hands to iniquity and apostasy.”Psalm 125:3 AMPCThe “scepter”, meaning the dominion of wicked or bad rulers, of a harsh and oppressive government, the power and abused authority of tyrants oppressing the people of God will not rest (remain forever) upon the saints of God. Lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
What does this mean? There is great probability of something undesired happening when we are under a long period of oppression. Through our human frailty and the great weight of long continuance of troubles; our flesh is driven to despair and to abandon ourselves to sin and apostasy. This was what the writer of Hebrews was warning the scattered and oppressed believers- do not depart from the living God because you are greatly afflicted.
God knows our weaknesses. The righteous will indeed suffer by long afflictions and oppressions of an antichrist government. We are forewarned and foretold that Satan will persecute the saints of God (Daniel 7:25). Be prepared. The seabeast is a government system and this persecution is coming in greater measure. We must hold fast to the Scriptures. Christianity is not progressive, we do not change with the times. We are in fact “out-dated”, “old-fashioned” and “traditional”.
The true saints will be oppressed. The old paths will be ridiculed. The narrow way will be mocked. The above Scripture warns us that this antichrist oppression will cause many to want to forsake the ways of God, and join with the wicked. The great apostasy has been and is taking place. We are witnesses to many in the church forsaking Biblical Christianity.
Therefore, to prevent this in His remnant, the Lord will not suffer us always to be under this affliction and oppression. It has an end. He will not allow us to be afflicted so long that we fall into despair. He always makes a way out. “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”Revelation 2:10 NKJVStay the course. Remain loyal into death. #runyourrace
