“I WILL BEAR THE INDIGNATION of the Lord, because I have sinned against Him.” Micah prophesied to the righteous remnant of Judah who were facing dark days ahead because of God’s judgment on the land for the nation’s sins. Sounds a lot like today.
America is under judgment from God and only a remnant will come out victorious. When we are disciplined, will you bear the punishment? A lukewarm church must be disciplined or she will be lost forever. I’m saddened to see the hearts of people being revealed that say, “I love Jesus”, yet your heart reveals idols of self. Will you be part of the remnant? Fall on your knees. Repent in sackcloth and ashes. Bear the indignation of the Lord.
Those who tell you that if you are in Christ you have no need to repent, have apparently never read the whole Bible. Jesus’ words to the lukewarm church in Laodicea are, “be zealous and repent”. Micah trumpets words of faith on the remnant’s behalf and looks beyond the temporary triumph of the enemy to the glorious day of restoration by God, “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The LORD will be a light to me.” Micah 7:8 ”I shall arise” is an affirmation of faith comparable to Job’s, “For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God,” Job 19:25-26 NKJV#runyourrace
