STOP THE INSANITY!“You shall not hate your brother in your heart; but you shall surely rebuke your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him…..You shall love your neighbor as yourself”. Leviticus 19:17,18b Honestly, I’m quite sick of the world and apostate church telling me what love is or looks like. I saw someone post that they got an experimental shot because they are following the commandment to “love thy neighbor”. Huh? When did love get so twisted? When was the church ever supposed to look like the world or follow it’s pernicious ways?
People are being deceived, but God’s people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. The world is being groomed. There’s no fear of God in His people, and therefore no wisdom. God is the author of love, not man. You don’t get to tell me what love looks like. God does. I answer to the Lord alone, not man. Go read 1 Cor 13. Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. If it’s surrounded by lies and deception, it’s not love. Love has been from the beginning of mankind.
God has commanded men to respect one another and honor others in the fear of the Lord. God is truth, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. Therefore love always speaks truth and has people’s best interest in mind. The best interest of my neighbor is to stop a life of sin and be forgiven, which was the whole purpose of Jesus coming, “to do destroy the works of the devil” and enable God’s people to have complete victory over sin and our enemy. Enter the above OT Scripture, reiterated by Christ in the NT.
On the one side we are not to hate our brother in our heart, whatever wrongs he may commit. As people of God, our hearts must be kept clean and pure at all times. We cannot allow a root of bitterness to defile. But on the other side, we are in any wise to rebuke our neighbor for his wrong doing. So our Lord teaches, “if thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him”. Paul warns Timothy and Titus, “Them that sin rebuke before all” (1 Timothy 5:20). “Reprove, rebuke” (2 Timothy 4:2). “Rebuke them sharply” (Titus 1:13). “Rebuke with all authority” (Titus 2:15). By withholding reproof in a bitter spirit, or from a feeling of cowardice, we may become partakers of other men’s sins. Whoever fails to rebuke his neighbour when he ought to do so, bears sin on his account as the above Scripture reads.
What does this mean? By not rebuking a sinning brother, you too can be held responsible for his sin. If you know of someone’s sin and let him alone to continue to sin which may prove of eternal fatal consequences to him; you are not acting in love. (You would do well to listen to what God says love is and not the world). Rather, it’s a sign that you really hate them in your heart, are apathetic concerning sin and it’s consequences or are a coward and thus you take part in his sin.
This is a theme throughout Scripture,“Deliver those who are drawn away to death, and those who totter to the slaughter, hold them back [from their doom]. If you [profess ignorance and] say, Behold, we did not know this, does not He Who weighs and ponders the heart perceive and consider it? And He Who guards your life, does not He know it? And shall not He render to [you and] every man according to his works?” Prov 24:11-12 Apathy and a complacent heart towards sin is a grave sign of lukewarmness and a divided heart towards God. True love hates sin and it’s affects in another’s life. You ARE your brother’s keeper. #runyourrace
