I SURRENDER ALL? What matters most in the life of a God-fearing person is that God’s will be done. We are not here to be useful to men, but to do the will of the One who redeemed us. You were bought with a price and the life you now live is not your own. If you are surrendered, you understand this Scriptural principle. Such people love and obey God’s Word because His commandments represent the righteousness the world scorns.
The surrendered is not moved by fear and anxiety in times of trouble. Why? Because, what does a dead person fear? The surrendered has died to her own ways, thoughts, and plans. She lives only for Him. She trusts the Lord and not in herself, another or any external circumstances. Self-preservation reveals a lack of trust in God; therefore you must ask yourself, “Am I truly surrendered?” Is the belief you have in Christ active or passive? You believe in Jesus, but do you believe Him?
The Bible overwhelming convinces us to trust God; and not just for a future inheritance, but for the here and now. Have you surrendered all? Or is your song, “I surrender some”? God is shaking things up and hearts are being revealed and it’s only going to get worse. Settle it now. Half-hearted surrender is not devotion. The righteous man trusts in the Lord with all his heart, “Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established. He will not be afraid,” Psalms 112:6-8a These are the days that require courage. #runyourrace
