DO YOU JUST WANT SYMPATHY or rather do you believe that God can and will do the impossible? Jehoshaphat was faced with the greatest crisis of his life and he met a seemingly impossible circumstance in an exemplary manner. He began to seek the Lord through fasting, gathered others to pray and fast, confessed his helplessness, “O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”” II Chronicles 20:12 obeyed the Holy Spirit, put his trust in the Lord and His Word, and gave thanks.
What about you? Do you limit the Almighty? Some people just want sympathy but in their heart and mind do not really believe that God is all powerful and all mighty. And so by your thinking, and your words, “God cannot heal me, deliver me, restore my life”; you limit God’s ability to do the miraculous. The problem my friend, is not with God or His ability or even His will (for the promises of God are yes and amen); but in your lack of understanding the nature and character of God.
Have you truly sought the Lord like king Jehoshaphat? Fasting and praying? Confessing your helplessness? Have you waited on God? Or are you impatient, and do your “own thing”? (God won’t do this, I must) Like evil kings, going to the wicked for help instead of the Lord? Do you obey what He asks of you? When’s the last time you sat still in His presence? #runyourrace
