LEAN WITH YOUR WHOLE BODY unto the Lord. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;”Proverbs 3:5 NKJVTrust in the Lord (b’takh el y’hovah); literally, trust in Jehovah. Batakh is, properly, “to cling to,” and so passes to the meaning of “to confide in,” “to set one’s hope and confidence upon.” Lean (tishshaen) signifies “to lean upon, rest upon,” just as man rests upon a spear for support. Its metaphorical use, to repose confidence in, is derived from the practice of kings who were accustomed to appear in public leaning on their friends and ministers.
Therefore, to lean with the whole body on something, in order to rest upon it. So wisdom tells us, “Cling to the Lord and put all your confidence in Him alone. Do not rest on your own understanding; but rest wholly on the Lord’s Words, ways, laws and precepts”. Somebody needs to hear this today. Your knowledge is faulty. Your wisdom is frail. Your feelings are false. God is speaking today, do not trust your eyes! Do not trust your ears! Do not trust the false voices and lies of the enemy that’s being propagated. Do not trust your feelings and emotions. Trust and cling to the Lord. His ways are far above the ways of man.
Turn off the news and lying prophets of Baal. Get off social media. Stop listening to the fearful. Do not believe the lie. Lean wholly on God’s Word. You need to hear that again, lean wholly on God’s Word. Put your full confidence in Scripture and cast all your weight on His Word. Give yourself wholly to the Holy Spirit. God’s people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge of Him and His ways. The fog is thickening and it’s going to get more difficult to see. Rely firmly on the Lord’s word. Cling to His promises. His laws are divine. His way is narrow. Fear is blinding you and will continue to blind you.
Remove all fear and trust in the Lord’s ability to guide you through the dark. He has a 100% proven track record. He is faithful 100% of the time. Words have power, this is why Satan is using words to scare and redefine his lies. Don’t be snared! In a world that’s redefining words and phrases, trust in the Lord. Fear God. Flee sin.
