I DO NOT KNOW WHY THIS IS, but some days I can run 5 miles easy, no pain, lots of energy. BUT, some days just running 1 mile is a chore. It’s like I’m running in sand, wearing cement shoes, with a 50 lb. backpack. Rough. It’s how I feel in my faith walk.
Some days it’s easy to trust God, that He will do what He said He would do. It’s easy to trust His promises and hold on to His Word. I’m soaring in my faith. BUT, some days it’s a chore to hold on dearly to that Word. I’m trudging through deep deep quick sand, just trying to stay above so I don’t sink. I don’t want to waver, so I keep believing, BUT IT IS HARD to trust when you see no end in sight. THIS IS FAITH, that even when you see NO END, you still HOPE and BELIEVE.
We in Christ are children of Abraham, who AGAINST HOPE, BELIEVED. “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” Romans 4:20-21 Do you realize Abraham waited 25 years to see God’s promise to him fulfilled? That’s a lot of running. The scripture never said he didn’t have rough days- it just says, “he did not waver”, he trudged through the deep sand and kept going, kept believing, kept trusting, kept hoping because GOD IS FAITHFUL. No matter how rough your run is, GOD IS FAITHFUL. No matter what your situation looks like, GOD IS FAITHFUL. Don’t waver! STAY THE COURSE. Trust God! HE IS FAITHFUL WHO PROMISED!#runyourrace
